To Be Read Lists/Shelves
One of our contacts (@crowandiris) on Twitter asked this morning: “What’s on YOUR ‘to read’ book shelf? “
Now I’m curious. What IS on YOUR list/shelf. I’ll show you mine if you’ll show me yours. (I actually don’t (currently) have any books pending on a shelf here at home. What I have is a list in Word of books I want to pick up…which needs to be soon before I finish what I’m reading now.)
- Shutter Island (Dennis Lehane)
- The Postmistress (Sarah Blake)
- The Wives of Henry Oades (Johanna Moran)
- A Note From An Old Acquaintance (Bill Walker)
- Memory Keepers Daughter (Kim Edwards)
- Glass Castle (Jeanette Walls)
- The Name of the Wind: Day One (Patrick Rothfuss)
- The Wise Man’s Fear: Day Two (Patrick Rothfuss)
- Before I Fall (Lauren Oliver)
- Beautiful Dead (Eden Maguire)
- The Lovely Bones (Alice Sebold)
- The Year of the Flood (Margaret Atwood)
- Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (Seth Grahame-Smith)
- The Help (Kathryn Stockett)
- Fablehaven series (Brandon Mull)
- Caught (Harlan Coben)
- Epitaph Road (David Patneaude)
- The Creation of Eve (Lynn Cullen)
- Unbound (Dean King)
I’m always looking to add to my list. What do you think I absolutely HAVE to read? What are you looking forward to reading?

I keep track of my books via Good Reads, and every time I stumble upon a blogger’s review of an interesting book, it goes on the to-read list, currently at 154 titles. … the thing is, when I go to the library to pick up a book, I tend to forget my list, and pick up a book or two that calls out to me from the shelves.. as such my “read” list grows at a much higher rate than the “to-read” decreases!
I’ve noticed my more recent to-read additions are serious/non-fiction works (as opposed to my usual genre – fantasy!)
